Frequently asked questions
Can any negative Google review be removed?
No. Genuine criticism and honest opinion are lawful and generally stay online. A review can be challenged when it breaches Google’s policies or is unlawful, for example when it is fake, contains false statements of fact, discloses personal information, or was written by a competitor or someone with a conflict of interest.
What does Google review removal cost?
AU$469 per successfully removed review for a single review. Volume pricing is AU$455 each for 2–4 reviews, AU$439 each for 5–9 and AU$425 each from 10 reviews. Prices are in Australian dollars, plus GST where applicable. If a review is not removed, you pay nothing for it.
Is the initial assessment free?
Yes. The initial assessment is free and creates no obligation. We reply within 24 hours.
How long does removal take?
It depends on the evidence and on Google’s review process. We cannot promise a fixed timeframe because Google decides when and whether to act.
On what legal basis do you act?
Depending on the review, complaints rely on Google’s content policies, the defamation laws of the Australian states and territories, the Australian Consumer Law and privacy law. Honest opinion, fair comment and true statements are protected.
Can you guarantee removal?
No. Google makes the final decision on every complaint. That is why you pay only for reviews that are actually removed.
Will the reviewer know that I complained?
We lodge complaints through Google’s channels, and you do not need to contact the reviewer. Google may notify a reviewer that their content was removed.
What if a removed review reappears?
If the same unlawful review reappears after a successful removal, we act again at no extra cost.
Is G-DEFENCE a law firm or an Australian company?
Neither. G-DEFENCE is operated by XSR Agency LTD, registered in Cyprus, and provides its service to Australian businesses remotely. We do not give legal advice.
Can I remove a review myself?
You can report a review to Google yourself at no cost. Our guide on how to remove a Google review explains the steps. Many business owners come to us after a report has been rejected.
